Shirley E. Wilson

Shirley E. Wilson, 90, of Catawissa, passed away on May 26, 2023. Mrs. Wilson, daughter of the late Lowell Smith and Edythe nee Landyte, was born on September 17, 1932, in St. Louis. She received her education from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis. On May 5, 1983, she was united in marriage to Eugene Wilson at the Granada Club House in Hazelwood.

Her interest included going to the horse track since they had racehorses when she was growing up. Going on the boat(but never winning ) and collecting Sleepy Eye , different lamps and not to forget Betty Boop. She enjoyed life from many aspects.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Eugene Wilson.

Among her survivors are four children, Linda Muir and husband Dennis of Washington, Andy Fisher and wife Lynn of Hawk Point, Mike Fisher and wife Sharon of Knoxville, TN, and Sandy Blaser and husband John of Catawissa: grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt,Thiebes Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of choice.
