Shirley C. Langford
1937 - 2016


Shirley C. Langford, 78, Washington, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 peacefully surrounded by family at the home of her daughter, Debby Volker.

Mrs. Langford was born July 29, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Zelma Dennis, nee McCallister.

On November 28, 1953, she was united in marriage to Charles A. Langford, Sr. in Chicago, Illinois. Three children were conceived in the marriage.

Mrs. Langford held the position of Executive Vice President at Pharma-Tech Industries, Union, until 1982. In later years owned and operated a restaurant until her retirement.

She was a true Christian, had artistic talents, was a wonderful homemaker and had a love for all animals. She was loved by all her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles A. Langford, one sister, Joyce Duckworth, and one brother, Jerry Dennis.

Mrs. Langford is survived by two daughters; Debby Volker and husband Frank, Washington, and Nancy Abbott, Denver; one son, Charles A. Langford, Jr. and wife, Vicki, Marthasville; three sisters; Charlene Whitaker, Sullivan, Carol Bradley and husband, Ed, Chicago, Deanna Johnson and husband, Mike, St. Peters; two brothers; Larry Dennis and wife, Beth, Lake Ozarks, Terry Dennis and wife Kathy, Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, all in Franklin County, MO; nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many friends.

Private interment will be held at a later date.
