Sallie F. Mark Obituary

Sallie F. Mark, aged 69, of Pacific, Missouri, passed away on May 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service and an unwavering devotion to her family.

A Life of Purpose

Born on December 28, 1956, in Joplin to the late Forrest Jennings and Annalea Wheatley, Sallie spent her formative years in Michigan. A graduate of Hazel Park High School, she was known in her youth as a talented and competitive volleyball player—a spirited energy she carried throughout her life. It was in her adulthood that she found her true calling: caring for others.

Sallie dedicated her career to enriching the lives of seniors, serving as the Activity Director for both the Pacific Nursing Home and St. Andrew’s at St. Francis Place. Her compassion extended deep into the community, where she was a pillar of St. Bridget School. For years, she poured her heart into organizing the dinner auction and managing the sports club.

Perhaps her most quiet but profound impact was her commitment to local children; Sallie spent countless hours collecting donations and hand-packing backpacks with school supplies to ensure that every child in Pacific, regardless of their means, could start the school year with dignity.

Beloved Matriarch

Above all her professional and civic achievements, Sallie’s greatest passion was her family. She was the heart of every gathering, and her grandchildren were her absolute world. The love she showered upon them created a bond that will endure long after her passing.
