Robert C. Richie

Robert C. Richie, 56 , of Bourbon, passed away on July 16, 2022. Robert, son of the late William Richie Jr. and Carolyn nee York, was born on June 23, 1966 in St. Louis. He received his education from Eureka High School. On September 27, 1997, he was united in marriage to Amy Schafer in St. Louis County.

Robert loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and loved to BBQ.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Among his survivors are his beloved wife Amy Richie of Bourbon; four children, Mercedes OBryant-Gruzeski and husband Tim of Denver, CO, Robert Richie and fiance Samy of Godfrey, IL, Addison Richie-Benedict and husband Ryan of Jerseyville, IL, and Dillon Richie of Bourbon; brother, William Richie III and wife Bridget of Wildwood; six grandchildren, Brooklyn, Ava, Mia, Evan Robert, Evan James, and Liam; mother-in-law, Barbara Schafer of Glendale; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chris Schafer, Robin Brunk and husband Dave, and Holly Tatlow and husband Steve; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of choice.
