Paula B. Nolley, 72, of Fenton, passed away on January 10, 2025. Mrs. Nolley, daughter of the late Bob Jones and Veda Pauline nee White, was born on August 2, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, MO. She received her education from Poplar Bluff High School and Southeast Missouri State University, with a bachelor’s degree in music education. Paula married Fred Nolley in 1974.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Among her survivors are her son, Jeremy Nolley and wife Tara of Fenton; two siblings, Steven Jones and wife Nellen of Springfield, MO and Gregg Jones and wife Ali of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Kaylee and Loren Nolley; other relatives and friends. Her family remembers her as someone who poured her heart and soul into others and brought out the best in them.

Paula was an accomplished pianist and dedicated music teacher. She taught music full-time for 27 years in the Meramec Valley R3 School District from 1974-2001. Paula continued directing musicals at Pacific High School through the fall of 2024. Paula directed 32 high school musicals and 25 elementary musical productions.

Paula was the vocal director of 33 musical productions at East Central College. She was also the rehearsal accompanist and principal keyboard player for many of the productions.

Paula was a devoted Christian and showed the love of Christ in all that she did. She played piano at many churches throughout her life, most recently the United Methodist Church in Pacific.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the United Methodist Church in Pacific. Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Missouri.
