Maxine G. Birdsong

Maxine G. Birdsong, 95 , of Pacific, passed away on February 23, 2021. Maxine, daughter of the late John Spalding and his wife Ida NEE James, was born September 11, 1925 in St. James, MO. She received her education from St. James High School. On February 7, 1945, she was united in marriage to W. G. Birdsong. Maxine was employed at Birdsong’s Pharmacy in Pacific.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W. G. Birdsong; five siblings, and one grandchild, Lisa Birdsong.

Among her survivors are two children, Dan Birdsong and wife Carol of Estero, FL and Mary Pund of Pacific; grandchildren, Todd Pund and wife Karie, Stacy Birdsong, and Faith Birdsong; great-grandchildren, Maille, Darby, and Griffen; step-grandchildren, Catherine and William Kuper; other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on March 8, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at the Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville. In lieu of flowers,  memorial donations can be made to the Maxine Birdsong Memorial Fund, in c/o Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, 231 E. Union St., Pacific, MO 63069. Donations will go towards a creation of a memorial in Maxine’s name, to express the Birdsong family’s gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Pacific Care Center.
