MaryLee Vernaci , 87 , passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022. MaryLee, daughter of the late Herbert Hill and Pearl nee Fischer, was born on December 2, 1934 in East St. Louis, IL. She was a graduate of Pacific High School, class of 1952.

MaryLee was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her last place of employment was at Zitzman Elementary School cafeteria, which she enjoyed very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles Baker, and second husband, Joseph Vernaci.

Among her survivors are her children, Chuck Baker and wife Carol of Seymour, MO and Tracey Herrell and husband Mike of St. Clair; grandson, Chuckie Baker; step grand and great-grandchildren, and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Toys for Tots.
