Leona 'Christine' Waggoner, 86, St. Louis, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Bethesda Dilworth, St. Louis.
Christine, the wife of the late Albert William Waggoner Sr. was born October 16, 1935, in Tiff, Mo. She spent her childhood in Pacific, where thru her brother, Donald, she met Albert and a 65 year love affair began.
Christine is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Cruse and husband Steve, Millstadt, IL ; four grandchildren Adam Cruse of Ballwin, MO, Christina Cruse of Millstadt, IL; Jennifer Waggoner of Las Vegas, NV and Sara & JL Siason of Las Vegas, Nevada; three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Savanna and Gianna Guardado of Las Vegas, NV; and many beloved brothers and sisters and in laws, including Letha Hafley, Nora Nickelson, Judy Budde, Rosemary Witcher, Danny Nickelson, Gerald & Carol Nickelson, Frank Nickelson, Marilyn Nickelson, Burley Nickelson Jr. & Kathy, Kathleen Nickelson and Nicki Luebbert. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews; great neices and nephews, extended family and friends, all who admired the feisty "Bingo Mama" of South St. Louis.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Genevieve and Burley Nickelson; two sons, Andrew Roland "Randy" Waggoner and Albert William Waggoner Jr. III; and several brother and sisters and in laws, including Shirley & Louis Alonzo, Mary & Darryl Tullock, Andrew & Lorraine Minardi, Donald and Edwina Nickelson, Robert Witcher, Joyce Nickelson, Jerri Hafley, Esther & Gene Young, Nancy & Paul LeClaire, Roland Nickelson, Lindell Nickelson, Janet Nickelson, Bertha Nickelson and Marcia Ferguson.
Services at this time are private. Christine's ashes will be interred next to Albert and Randy at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Pacific, Mo.
