Irene A. Buhr,93, of Washington, passed away on January 10, 2017 in St. Louis. Mrs. Buhr, daughter of the late James McGuire and his wife Margaret NEE Ochesky, was born May 30, 1923 in Hope, MO. She received her education at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School. On September 4, 1943 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Buhr at St. Francis Borgia Church. Irene was employed as a Pharmacy Tech at Mercy. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the Elks Auxiliary.
Mrs. Buhr was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Buhr; Brother, James McGuire and sister, Mary McGuire.
Among her survivors are two sons, Dennis Buhr and wife Karen of Kansas City, MO and Larry Buhr and wife Lisa of St. Louis; Daughter, Barbara Isaacs and husband Richard of Gladstone, MO; Grandchildren, Richard Isaacs and wife Elizabeth, Matthew Buhr and wife Amanda , Katherine and husband Jordan Chitwood, Stephanie Jarmon and Jedidiah Jarmon; Great-grandchildren, Richard, Jacob, Maggie, Mary, Eleanor, and Alice Irene; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, with interment in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. James Theby. Memorials were to the Our Lady of Lourdes Church or the Little Sisters of the Poor.
