Goldie M. Ball Obituary

Goldie M. Ball, 81, of Fenton, passed away on August 12, 2024. Mrs. Ball, daughter of the late Kellas J. Brummett and Martha nee Cassiday, was born on June 17, 1943, in Banner, MO.


Goldie enjoyed cooking and listening to gospel and country music.


She was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Helen Skaggs, Leon Brummett, Angus (Bill) Brummett, and grandson, Christopher Nelson.


Among her survivors are two sons, Mark Nelson and wife Carmen of Edwardsville, IL and Brian Nelson of Sullivan, MO; two siblings, Opal Turnbough and Don Brummett; grandchildren, Jake Nelson, Zoe Nelson, Brian Nelson Jr. and Riley Nelson; great-grandchildren, Jayden Nelson, Jordan Nelson, Landon Nelson, Brian Nelson III, and Justin Nelson; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.


A visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 12-2 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Sunset Cemetery in Pacific. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
