Gary L. Collins

Gary L. Collins , 70 , of Villa Ridge, passed away on October 30, 2021. Mr. Collins, son of the late Sherman Collins and his wife Ola nee Croney, was born on January 30, 1951 in Eureka, MO. He received his education from Missouri State in Springfield, MO.

Mr. Collins served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. He was employed by the Veterans Administration as a L.C. S. W.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cameo Collins and four siblings, Charlie Collins, Luther Collins, Ina Schloesser, and Sharon Downing.

Among his survivors are his son, Garrett Collins and wife Jennifer Siddall of Villa Ridge; siblings, Betty Atherton, Gloria Schmitz and husband Danny, and Peggy Douglas; granddaughter, Camille Henry; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 4-8 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will be held at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Missouri Veterans Memorial in Perryville, MO or the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation.
