Mary Gail Johnson, age 78, of Robertsville, Missouri, fortified with the Holy Spirit, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Washington Mercy Hospital, surrounded by loving family and caring hospital staff.
Gail was born December 29, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland where she attended Catholic school and graduated high school. Gail moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1976 where she met her loving husband Bruce whom she married in 1988. They lived in Mableton, Georgia until 1993 when he accepted a job opportunity that took them to Saint Louis, Missouri.

She was an avid gardener, a Boy Scout Cubmaster where she earned the nickname, “Mrs. Green Jeans”, a wildlife rescue volunteer, and a US Government Census worker. She loved to play cards and was skilled in the art of blackjack. Gail was also a passionate environmentalist and humanitarian and donated to support non-profit organizations aligned to those causes. She enjoyed classic TV shows such as Perry Mason and Gunsmoke.
Gail is survived by her husband Bruce Johnson; daughter Michelle Rafferty-Snyder and son Royce Johnson, both of Robertsville; granddaughter Lacey Sheeran of Acworth, Georgia; grandchildren Rayna Funk and Brogan Rafferty, both of Akron, Ohio; and grandchildren Delorian Johnson and Delyla Johnson, both of Lonedell, Missouri.
