Ellen R. Hager

Ellen R. Hager , 96 , of Pacific, passed away on June 17, 2021. Ellen, daughter of the late Alfred Strathman and his wife Bertha nee Holterman, was born on June 23, 1924 in St. Louis. On May 18, 1946, she was united in marriage to Harold Hager at the Sacred Heart Church in St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Hager and eight siblings, Adelaide, Celeste, Myrtle, Ethel, Lillian, Bud, Jeanette, and Glennon.

Among her survivors are five children, Beverly Duncan and husband Ken of Pacific, Sandy Fowles and husband Jackson of Litchfield, NH, Stephen Hager and wife Peggy of Puyallup, WA, Bart Hager of Arnold, and Paula Owen of Valley Park; twelve grandchildren, Brian, Rachel, Joe, Sarah, Stephen Jr. , Andrew, Michael, Kimberly, Elani, Alison, Gabriel, and Caroline; eleven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 4-8 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 10 A.M. at St. Bridget’s Church in Pacific, with interment in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Mt. Grace Convent of the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters, “The Pink Sisters”.
