Cleo Ward Obituary
Cleo A. Ward, 85, of Pacific, passed away on April 28, 2023. Mrs. Ward, daughter of the late Estie Roy Shaw and Beatrice (Payne) Shaw, was born on July 21, 1937 in Gideon, MO. She received her education from Gideon High School. On December 24, 1955, she was united in marriage to Carl Ward in Gideon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Ward; brother, Wakefield Shaw; grandsons, Christopher and Michael and son-in-law, Ken O’Neill.
Among her survivors are three children, Carla Kennedy and husband George of Gray Summit, Rick Ward and wife Amber of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Paula O’Neill of St. Charles; brother, Dewey Shaw and wife Virginia; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt,Thiebes Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Gray Summit First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Sunset Cemetery in Pacific. Memorial donations can be made to the Gray Summit First Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
