Charles Alfred Watters, 79 of Pacific, Missouri, passed away on April 26, 2021. Charles, son of the late Chester E. Watters and his wife Roxie (nee Gray), was born on February 6, 1942. He received his education from St. Clair High School. On February 11, 1965 he was united in marriage to Barbara Higgins.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was a Union Bricklayer for over 50 years, having earned the Gold Life Member Card. Charles had been a member of the Robertsville Masonic Lodge #363 for over 50 years, having received his 50 year pin in 2019.
While in his earlier years, he was so often seen with a book in his hand when not working, he also was a self taught computer enthusiast, having built several computers over the years. He has enjoyed traveling over the years and spent many memorable trips with his grandsons. He was loved so much and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Watters was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his wife Barbara Watters of Pacific, MO; two children, Charlie Watters of St Charles, MO, Ramanda Heneisen and husband Steven of Pacific, MO; three siblings, Jan Holiday of Boynton Beach, FL, Barbara Nix and husband Joe of Dunedin, FL, and Glenda Sidwell of Valley Park, MO;
three grandchildren, Michael Charles Miller of Pacific, MO, Mitchell Thomas Miller of Pacific, MO, and Jessica Rae Heneisen of Nixa, MO; Brother-in-law, John Higgins of Park Hills, MO; nieces, Liane Willey of Michigan, Nadja Swift of Ballwin, Jinia Parker of Florida, Tabatha Nix, Barb Westerhold of Affton; one nephew, Dewayne Higgins of Bonne Terre. Cousins Bill Watters and wife Nancy of Fenton, MO, Chester Watters and wife Nancy of Indiana, Carolyn Eaton and Husband Kent of Shiloh IL; many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday May 2, 2021 from 4-7 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home with a Masonic Service beginning at 6:30 P.M. There will be a Christian service at the Funeral Home on May 3, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be at the New St. John’s Cemetery in Mehlville, MO.
