Alta Towne of Pacific, passed away on January 31, 2025. Mrs. Towne, daughter of the late Charles Cargal and Henrietta nee Drennan, was born on June 2, 1935, in Springfield, IL. On October 4, 1957, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Earlwood Towne in St. Louis. Alta was of the Baptist faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Allenton Heights.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Rev. Kenneth Earlwood Towne.

Among her survivors are many friends and loved ones.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 11-12 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. Interment will be in the Troy City Cemetery in Troy, MO. Memorial donations are requested to The Baptist Home in Ironton, MO.
