Myrtle M. (Guenzler) Murphy

Myrtle M. Murphy of Catawissa passed away on May 24, 2018 at her residence in Catawissa. Mrs. Murphy was born on December 28, 1930, to John Guenzler and his wife Phoebe NEE McDaniel. Myrtle received her education from the Meramec Valley School District. On September 10, 1949, she was united in marriage to the late Edmund Murphy.
Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edmund Murphy; Son, Howard Murphy; Three brothers, Arvil, Archie, and Melvin Guenzler; Sister, Alice Guenzler, and a Granddaughter, Jill Whitlock.
Among her survivors are three children, Donald Murphy and wife Michell of Pacific, Joan Whitlock and husband Dave of Pacific, and Gary Murphy of Catawissa; Daughter-in-law, Vicky Murphy of Washington; Seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 10 A.M. at the St. James Church in Catawissa. Visitation will be on Monday, May 28, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt,Thiebes Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the St. James Church Cemetery. Memorials to the Developmental Services of Franklin County.
