John A. Devine, 88, of Eureka, passed away on November 2, 2018. John was the son of the late John G. Devine and wife Dorothy (NEE Franz), born on April 20, 1930 in Allenton at his home. John graduated from Oklahoma State University and joined the Marines. He served as a combat marine in the Korean War many times on the front line. John had a love for antiques, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He also spent time gardening and as an artist. On November 12, 1955 at the Sacred Heart Church in Eureka, John married his late wife Kathleen. Together they had three children; Pat, Shari, and John. John worked at the Aerospace and Charter Defense Mapping Agency.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John G. and Dorothy Devine, his wife, Kathleen Devine, brother Edward Devine, and sister, Dorothy Glowczwski,.
John is survived by his children, Pat Senf and Jerry, Shari Devine, and John Devine and Jeanine, and grandchild, Elliot Devine.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes from 4:00-7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bridget’s Church in Pacific. The burial will follow at the Church cemetery. Officiating the mass will be Rev. Jim Holbrook.
